Day 8 - Love Our Family of Faith as Jesus Does

Day 8 highlights how the Holy Spirit transformed the early church into a community marked by deep, sacrificial love, especially as thousands of new believers joined their fellowship. Acts 2 shows that the Spirit led them to share their resources freely, care for one another generously, and live with a unity that revealed Christ’s character. Ellen White emphasizes that when believers today express Christ’s grace through both words and practical acts of kindness, the same far‑reaching impact becomes possible, restoring the unity, faith, and love seen in apostolic times. Families and friends are encouraged to reflect on ways they’ve experienced love, pray for the Spirit to help them love in action, and practice Christlike care within their homes and circles. In the church setting, members thank God for His love, confess their failures to love one another, ask for the Spirit’s power to love faithfully, and share testimonies of God’s work in their lives. The appeal calls believers to let the Spirit open their hearts to love their church family more deeply than ever, and the 24‑Hour Challenge invites each person to meet a real need in someone’s life through a concrete act of sacrificial love.
