DAY 1 - Know Jesus as Our Living Savior

  • 1 min read

The Day 1 reading, Know Jesus as Our Living Savior, invites believers to spend time with God by praying for the Holy Spirit to illuminate Scripture and by reflecting on Acts 1:1–3 and the Gospel accounts of Jesus revealing Himself alive after His resurrection. It highlights Ellen White’s insights that Jesus spent forty days preparing His disciples, opening their understanding of prophecy, strengthening their faith, and commissioning them to share the message of repentance, forgiveness, and salvation with the world. Families and friends are encouraged to recognize signs of life in creation as a reminder that Jesus is truly alive, and to pray that each person will personally know Him as the living Savior. For church gatherings, participants form small groups to worship through praise, confession, and requests for the Holy Spirit, explore passages such as Isaiah 53, John 16:13, Acts 1:1–3, and Luke 24:13–32, and reflect on how Jesus revealed Himself through Scripture and personal presence. The appeal urges believers to recommit their hearts to Christ, and the 24‑hour challenge invites each person to unplug, read Psalm 46, praise Jesus as the living God, and share with someone one reason they know He is alive.
