Q: I plan to fly in or come by bus. Will you come pick me up and take me to camp?
A: No, each participant is responsible for arranging their own transportation. You may ask a friend to give you a ride to and from Deaf Eastern Autumn Revival Camp Meeting at Camp Blue Ridge.

Q: Will interpreters be provided for hearing people?
A: Hearing people are welcome IF they know sign language fluently. We do not have the resources to provide an interpreter. The main language used in this camp meeting is American Sign Language.

Q. What is the Camp Blue Ridge phone number in case of emergency?
A: Should emergency fire or medical services be needed during your stay, you may contact any of the Camp Blue Ridge staff or you can call 911. That is their local emergency number. If family members need to reach someone at camp, they may call 1-800-RING-CBR or 540-377-2413. The camp office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. eastern time. During that time the phone will be answered.

Q. Will my pager work at CBR?
A. Based on personal experiences of many campers, pagers and cell phones do not get reception at CBR. It may be necessary to drive some distance away from CBR to get a signal.

Q. Does CBR has WiFi?
A. Yes, you can use the WiFi with your laptop in the Wood Memoiral Lodge. Be advised, the AOL connection will not work.

Q. Will there be any hamburger, bacon or other meat dishes?
A. No, only vegetarian/vegan (meatless) meals will be served.

Q. Will there be any milk to drink?
A. Yes, they will provide both milk and soy milk.

Q. Can I cook my own food to save my money?
A. Yes, you can cook your own food in your cabin.

Q. Can I get my money back if I miss any meal?
A. Sorry, we cannot give refunds after Thursday, October 16, 2008. We notify the kitchen how many people will be coming for each meal two weeks before our campout and they bill us for the food based on that information. Since they cannot give us refunds, we cannot give you refunds.

Q. Where can I put my food to keep it cold?
A. You can put your own food in the cabin. Each cabin has their own refrigerator. Please remember that other people may be bringing their food too and may need to use the refrigerator. You may purchase food at the camp store, or at the store off the campgrounds near the entrance to Camp Blue Ridge.

Q. Can I bring my pet to the cabin?
A. No, due to health regulations, pets are not allowed in the lodging facilities. Please plan accordingly and leave your pet at home.

Q. How many people in each cabin?
A. Each cabin can hold up to 12 people. 6 people will sleep on each side of the cabin.

Q. Does the cabin have an indoor bathroom?
A. Yes, each cabin has two separate full bathrooms with a shower, toilet and wash basin.

Q. What about the kitchen?
A. Each cabin has a small kitchen with a small refrigerator and freezer, stove and water sink.

Q. Are there any pots/pans/silverware in the cabin kitchen?
A. No, bring your own.

Q. Is there a microwave in the cabin kitchen?
A. No except in the Deluxe cabin.

Q. What time is the check-in and check-out?
A. Check-in time is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is no later than 2:00 p.m..

Q: Can I bring my own tent at the Camp Blue Ridge?
A. Yes, you can. The cost for the tent sites is $5.00 a night plus $3.00 a day for the registration fee if paid in full before Tuesday, September 23, 2008. After Wednesday, September 24, 2008, registration fee will be $5.00 a day. Please contact us for an arrangement.

Q: Can I bring my RV/trailer to the Camp Blue Ridge?
A: Yes, you can. The cost to park your RV/trailer at the Camp Blue Ridge is $12.00 a night with electricity but no sewer or water hookup. Without electricity, it is $8.00 per night. Plus $3.00 a day for the registration fee if paid in full before Tuesday, September 23, 2008. After Wednesday, September 24, 2008, registration fee will be $5.00 a day. Please contact us for an arrangement.

Q: Do you have a motel at the Camp Blue Ridge?
A: Yes. Each motel unit accommodates up to four. They each feature a queen bed, one set of bunk beds and a private bathroom. Linens are provided. It is $80.00 per night. Plus $3.00 a day for the registration fee if paid in full before Tuesday, September 23, 2008. After Wednesday, September 24, 2008, registration fee will be $5.00 a day. A. Thank you for your generosity! Please fill out the DEAR 2008 Registration Form (PDF) as if you were going, but put "sponsor" in the name.

A. The 2008 Deaf Eastern Autumn Revival Camp Meeting committee has volunteered many hours of their time to make this camp meeting possible and enjoyable for you. The small registration fee covers different expenses such as stamps, photo copies of presentation handouts and other items.
