Memo from Cathy Ingram, Director
As the director of the eleventh annual Deaf Eastern Autumn Revival (DEAR 2011) Camp Meeting, on behalf of Deaf Evangelistic Adventist Fellowship (DEAF) it is my great pleasure to invite you to join us from Thursday, October 27, 2011 to Sunday, October 30, 2011.
In its eleventh year at Camp Blue Ridge, the DEAR annual retreat offers something for everyone. There will be time for fun and time for prayer. Our feature speaker for 2011, Pastor Alfred Griffith will present an uplifting sermon series titled "The Holy Spirit's Call to Faith, Prayer, and Work" Friday and Sabbath. The highlight of this exciting four-day event will be a Communion service on Friday evening to welcome the Sabbath.
The goal of DEAR Camp Meeting is to create an opportunity for those who attend to develop in the following areas: fun and adventure, health and safety, human relationships, knowledge and appreciation of the natural world, spiritual values and the fulfillment of each person's potential.
Camp Blue Ridge is approximately three hours southwest from Washington, D.C. in Montebello, Virginia. The beautiful campground stretches across more than 550 wooded acres with trees in autumn foliage nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains where we can escape from the stress of city life to experience Jesus through nature!
The DEAR Committee joins me in welcoming you and we hope to see you there!
God bless.
